1969 Volkswagen Weekend Camper, Left Hand Drive – Californian Import
Completely Stripped and Restored To Original in 2010
A stunning bus which has had over £20,000 spent on restoration, with all receipts for work done. There are seatbelts fitted in the back for the little ones. The first row of seats is easily removed providing space to pull out the brand new full size rock'n'roll bed. The cushions for the bed are also brand new. Its never been used. All the inside is original. There is also a sunroof that slides back. These are quite rare so is a great plus point.
The bodywork is immaculate. The colour was digitally matched from the original paintwork. The underneath is solid and clean. As this was imported from a dry climate, there has been no rotting of the rottable bits. Window seals are new.
Those who haven't driven a left hand drive before needn't be concerned. It takes about 5 minutes to become accustomed to it. It is tax exempt so that's a financial burden that need not be worried about.
It drives beautifully. Its a real head turner. In my view this is a real bargain for an original west coast hippy bus.
